I've been having about one reboot per month since I upgraded to 6.2 even though it's on a UPS. Latest was this morning at 7:14 while recording "Imus in the Morning". Other than that it is working fine (still much faster than 3.1.1e). Anyone else noticed these? Can a reboot be triggered by DTV? Thanks.

Have not had this happen, except for my HR10-250. Are you talking about the HDVR or a SD-DVR80? Not that it really should make a difference.

Sorry. SD-DVR80 yes. (I used to have a HDVR2).

Here's (http://www.tivocommunity.com/tivo-vb/showthread.php?t=241092&highlight=6+2+random+reboots) a (long) thread that might shed some light.

In short, if you are using some type of IR sender unit, you may want to turn it off or move around the sending eye. I found that my reboots (I was having up to 2 a day) seemed to be due to bogus IR transmisssions. By relocating my receiving unit and adusting the little eye to the side of the TiVos, the reboots appear to have stopped for me now.

Good post, never thought of that in some cases. In my case though, I am not currently using any IR sending units. No remote controls on any sort were being used.

I do use a BlueDo RF extender with the IR bulb right in front of the TiVo so I suppose stray RF could trigger it.
