I have a recording of my daughter on the news for her winning an essay contest. I have no other copy of it anywhere else other than on these drives. I can mount both of them into a linux system but I have NO idea how to pull the program off of the disk. I've seen a couple other programs that supposedly help but they seem to only work on a functional Tivo. The drives spin up and can be read from on a linux machine but they cause a GSOD in the AT&TIVO. Baring some bad sectors, all the data is there.

Please, my fiance is gonna kill me cause I was supposed to have put this on DVD already. Can someone please tell me how to save this one program?

(I moved this from the Help Forum. Someone said you guys would know better)

Check out this thread (http://www.tivocommunity.com/tivo-vb/showthread.php?t=190306).

It will tell you how to create a copy of your failing drive onto a good one which you can put back into your Tivo. I tried it recently and it allowed me to get all of the data off of a seriously f'ed up drive.

Good luck.
