I have an old image from 3.2 that I cannot get to dial out either with the modem or ,#401 prefix.
Anyone with a 4.x or higher image out there please help.
PM me.
Thanks,

Since I expanded this image with 3.2V4 software using a LBA48 boot disk would that cause my error on failing to connect? A box with a non LBA48 kernal reporting 377 hours of space.
My specific situation is that I can use my old 3Com adapter and ,#401 prefix and get as far as connected but failed to negiotate or disable the prefix and get the same failure method with my modem. I attribed my modem failure to Verizon FIOS (fiber to the house but should be POTS).
Should my approach have been to restore my 60GB image to my 300GB drive and then after the box upgrades to 7.x run mfsadd? Will doing it in two steps allow me to get the entire space of the 300GB drive after the software update?
Or is my issue one where TiVo knows I should have 7.2.2 software on this box and their servers choke when it finds out my box now has 3.2?
Thanks,

Yes, do the upgrade in two steps.

Next question.
I have an image on a cd. My machine has
hdd - DVD drive which has the Linux MFS tools cd
hdc - CD ROM drive which has my burned image.
hda - 300GB drive that I will expand with mfsadd after it upgrades to 7.x
How do I mount or access this cd-rom drive to do the restore.
the following commands are for HD and do not seem to work for me
mkdir /mnt/dos
mount /dev/hdc /mnt/dos
I then try
mfsrestore -s 127 -zpi /mnt/dos/tcd140060_40.bak /dev/hda
and I am told the tcd140060_40.bak does not exist.
edit;
I tried a df
It lists /dev/hdc and /cdrom
I even tried mount /dev/hdc mnt/cdrom
I have tried to substitute /mnt/dos for /dev/hdc/, /cdrom/, dev/cdrom/ mnt/cdrom and all fail with either file or invalid directory error.
Thanks in advance,
