I was in the afterdawn forum and they said I should come here, so here I am. I have been unable to create DVD's from Tivo that can play on other computers or players. I have a Sonic Record Now burner (two years Old) I have burned a data file that I am able to view on Windows Media Player, but only on my machine. Based on the recommendations from another forum, I downloaded Directshow Dump to convert the TiVo file to mpeg, but that didn't help. Today I downloaded a trial version of TMPGEnc DVD Author 1.6, but that didin't work either. I got two error messages 1) "the video resolution 480x480 cannot be used for a standard DVD" and 2) The video framerate 29.97fps cannot be used with the resolution 480x480." I'm real green with all of this and would appreciate some help. All I really want to do is to be able to play a TiVo DVD on more than just my computer
