If I have a TIVOWEB.CFG then TIVOWEBPLUS fails
Today I was going to edit my tivoweb.cfg so that the VIEW links would display in the Now Show Listing in TWP. The CFG file was gone. I can't recall if I removed it in the past because of issues it was causing. Anyways....TWP launches and works great if I don't have a tivoweb.cfg file in the TWP directory. (maybe that is why I removed it in the first place)...

I have tried copying the tivoweb.cfg file from the install zipper cd using Binary. Tried to launch using TWPRS and then viewing the processes using ps -aux it never shows and I therefore can't bring it up in the browser.

I then tried to edit the CFG file using Hackman. Hackman when unable to locate the file asks if you want to create one. I said sure. I added the default values from the config file on the CD to the file and saved. I restart TWPRS and again nothing. Not showing processes either.

I removed the file and restart using TWPRS and in a minute it shows in processes and I can access it via the browser. So the CFG file when present is preventing the loading of TWP it appears. Anything else I can try?

Thanks

1. I just copied a working copy from one Zippered Tivo to the one with the problems! Problem Solved!

Thanks Mark.

Mark, just a suggestion should something like this come up again: start a telnet session and run "tivoweb console". This spits everything back to your screen instead of to the log file and might help you see where things go haywire.
