Hi All,

A while ago (before LBA48 support) I replaced my original 40hr HDD (SVR-3000) with a 160GB one. I currently have ~140hr capacity due to the 137GB limitation. Is there any way to "upgrade"(expand?) the hard drive to see the remaining 20+ GB withouth losing any recordings?
Thank you

P.S. I tried searching the forums, but couldn't find anybody in the same situation.

You'll need to install an LBA48-aware kernel to allow expansion beyond the 137GB limit. I don't believe the SVR-3000 software has ever been updated by Tivo to add an LBA48 kernel. You'll have to hack the kernel yourself or find one that's been hacked for you to expand the drive.

Ver 7.x software laready has LBA48, which works on that box.
Unfortunately it will not see the extra capacity automatically. You have to manually add it, and you cannot do that becasue the partition table is full.
