I've just bought a new 80hr TiVO box, replacing an older 1st generation TiVO. I've gotten it all hooked up, everything looks right, but I'm getting some very faint static-like audio interference sounds. I never had problems of this nature with my older TiVO and am really wondering why a new box would actually give me problems. I wish I could describe the sound better - it's not something I haven't heard before on old television sets. It's almost as if there's something wrong with the tuner.

Thanks!

Need more information ....
* brand/model TV?
* how is the Tivo connected to your TV (inputs/outputs, cables, connectors)?
* what is your video souce (cable, cable box, satellite receiver)?
* if you're using a cable box or satellite receiver, how is that connected to your Tivo?
* have you tried rebooting your Tivo (disconnect power, wait 30-sec, reconnect power)?

Hi there...

I've got a JVC 36" TV -- not exactly sure of the model, but it's about 5 years old.

I'm connecting the TIVO box to the TV in the standard fashion -- without a cable box:

-Coax IN from wall to TiVO
-Coax OUT from TivO to TV
-Standard AV cables all attached (red, yellow, white)

I have rebootted and double-checked all of my connections. BTW, I'm getting this fuzzy sound on every channel. I'm also noticing my picture quality seems to not be as good as it had been with my old TiVO box. Is it possible that I just need to replace my coax cable from TiVO to TV? Or is it possible to upgrade to a higher quality AV cable? I'm really running out of ideas....

Thank you very much for whatever input anyone can provide!
