Anyone check it out?
I thought It was funny, better than Free Ride. This will get a SP for sure!

I actually laughed a couple of times. I thought it was pretty good, and I'll keep watching for awhile.

I think I like this show because, back when I first got out of college, I was the first one to get a so called 'real job' So I would get calls during the day, or leave for work in the AM with people passed out on the couch/floor/bathroom  Being professional 8-5, and a partyer at night.
Now that they all have good jobs, its different. However, I totally can relate to this dude.

No laugh track, on this board at least that means its a keeper

The previews made it look like the worst thing going on in TV this year, but... it was actually a funny show. A huge improvement over Free Ride. Guess which show will be cancelled first?

I enjoyed it. I also liked Free Ride. Best of both worlds, I guess. ;)

I thought it was terrible. I thought the text (CG) jokes were lame, and I thought the humor was really really dumb. I give shows a complete episode to prove themselves (usually two eps), but this one was just painful. But why listen to me, I enjoyed Sons and Daughters when most people thought it was awful.

I didn't hate it, but it'll have to be better in the second ep. Seemed to me that the best stuff the writers could come up with was all the silly names they called each other and the nonsense stuff the CEO said. It was amusing, but if that's the premise for a whole comedy series, it's not gonna last long.

Funny show. I'm actually looking forward to the upcoming episodes. The 30 minute sit-com is a dying breed, and we need more shows like this one.

I thought it was horrible. I really couldn't find any of it funny. Not sure why, but it did nothing for me.
It is like they made "How I Met Your Mother" and then made it suck really, really bad.
I just felt the pacing was too fast, the dialogue annoying... And it didn't make me laugh at all.

This was beyond horrible. How can Brett Harrison be so funny in one sitcom (Grounded for Life), and be totally lame in this one?
And we are supposed to think it's funny when someone hacks off part of his hair?
I'll give the 2nd ep a chance, but beyond that I'm probably dropping it.

We did not have the hair rule if you were first to pass out our rule was you got written on somewhere.
I liked it thought the fast paced, single camera and no laugh track is what made this show. And come on it is from the same writers that did Andy Richter Controls The Universe!!

I am in the "thought it was funny" crowd.
The freeze-frame shots with descriptive text was amusing ("zero awareness"), and I almost fell out when the boyfriend showed up at the field and the background singers sang "******".
The boss was great, had that same rhythm he used on Seinfeld as Mr. Bookman.
And of course, no laugh track. It lets me decide what it funny.

Yep; it's the clash of the responsible vs. the irresponsible. Shaving the head or part of a moustache... or drawing on the body/face with a permanent marker -- all common pranks. One guy has grown up; the other hasn't.

I liked the old boss the best. He reminds me of the nut-job I work for.
I liked it. The flirty Mimi Rogers was funny, and a nice sidebar to the already annoying unrequited crush. Brett Harrison's stoner brother is humorous, if a little over the top. I wonder if he is still in that band with Seth from The OC (Adam Brody?).

Thank You! Don't know why I couldn't put that together last night.
I liked it too, much better than Free Ride. I just think that people who never really had that "College" experience, are gonna have a hard time relating to this show, or getting some of the jokes/situations.
I almost soiled myself when I saw the shirt the lead was wearing in the bar:

I also thought the show was funny, especially the boss. My girlfriend and I laughed out loud throughout the show. Of course, this means it will be cancelled in a matter of weeks...

http://www.thefutoncritic.com/cgi/ratings.cgi?id=wednesday
FOX's (households: 10.0/16, #1; adults 18-49: 6.7, #1) revamped lineup of "Bones" (households: 7.6/13, #5; adults 18-49: 4.4, #T3), "American Idol" (households: 16.2/25, #1; adults 18-49: 11.4, #1) and the special premiere of "The Loop" (households: 8.4/13, #2; adults 18-49: 6.5, #2) as expected took home top honors on Wednesday.
Said premiere held 51.85% and 57.02% of "Idol's" lead-in among households and adults 18-49 respectively, an improvement over "Free Ride's" premiere two weeks ago (49.43% among households, 48.84% among adults 18-49 on 3/1/06). As for "Bones," the series nearly managed to duplicate its post-"Idol" numbers from last week (households: 7.4/11; adults 18-49: 4.8 on 3/8/06) in the lead off spot.
---
Of course, they entitled that "wednesday's ratings: 'loop' stumbles in premiere >> post-'idol' berth improves over 'free ride,' still loses bulk of lead-in"...
I guess they think it needed to keep more of the American Idol audience. But ignoring that it seemed like pretty strong numbers to me.
2 completely different genres of programming and they think the audience should remain the same. Yeah, right.

I liked a few moments and hated the rest with a burning passion. Yet somehow I bet I will watch it anyway. It's the smallville of sitcoms. Philip Baker Hall and Mimi Rogers are the only good thing about this show.
The laughtrack was replaced by overly loud, obnoxious music. Not a good tradeoff.
I have no taste for the 4 billionth "I love her and she doesn't know it" storyline. Is there no originality left in this world???

That's the eventual progression of "I love her and she doesn't know it" somewhere down the line she will find out, then he will suddenly for no obvious reason give up on her and get random girlfriend while she loves him secretly.

And they could accidentally get married while drunk in Vegas, have a kid together, but still remain Friends.

"I'm going to marry someone and have kids with them, but will leave you guessing who exactly until we need a ratings boost during a sweeps month."
I actually enjoyed The Loop. First new sitcom in a while that I didn't kill my season pass for after the first episode.
That may sound like 'It didn't want to make me gouge my eyes out", but it's a compliment, trust me ;)

Clearly not my problem... If anything, I had too much of the college experience.
So there must be something else...
I think I tivoed the second episode, but I am not very optimistic, I will give it a shot though...
I think low brow humor can be funny. This show does not have low brow humor, it is just find it very poorly written... I will pay more attention to the second episode.
By the way, I don't have a problem with any of the cliched premises, those can be just minor obstacles if there is good writing. Although their existance can indicate the lack of good writing I guess... I just think regardless of the premise, setting or anything else.. there was nothing there for me... But I don't watch the George Lopez show either.
