Hello...

I'm new to this forum so please forgive me if this sort of question has been asked and answered a hundred times already...

I've got an old 1st generation Philips TiVO box and want to upgrade to a new 80 hour box. At the same time, I plan on putting another box -- a 40hour box if I can find one - in another room of the house (and then network them both). I would be buying 2 new boxes.

So, my question -- from a rebate perspective -- since I already have TiVO service, and am only upgrading, am I completely out of luck? I read the rebate but it was not abundantly clear what they are considering "new service".

Does anyone know? Will I pay full price for both boxes -- or only for one box -- or will I get the rebate for both?

Thank you very much!

I think you could have a hundred Tivo's and still get a rebate. A rebate has nothing to do with the Tivos you have only the rebate. Another words if there is a rebate going on you'll get it. I believe there still is a $150.00 rebate on new units purchased say at CompUSA or Best Buy.

too bad you missed out on the 40 hour refurb deal for a free box if you paid for 1 year of service. then i added lifetime. so i got a free box and lifetime for $299
