First I want to say "how in the name of **** did i get along without a tivo for so long". WICKED ! I had an impulse moment at best buy, but cheeped out for the 40Gb Tivo 2.
Ok so not to waste any time, here's my question.
I have a new Tivo 2 - 40 hour unit ( 90 days old or so ), and want to either upgrade the unit, OR add an additional hard drive to it to get more space.
I have a 250Gb ADA drive here that I wish to use, and have been told it can be done.
So here goes... I tried to follow the directions for the MIFFS tools, but i am simply just lost, I guess I am not grasping some concept here.
Can someone please assist me with what i am missing here. While the instructions are very helpful, I feel they are a bit over my "NON TIVO" mind.
Now here's my thoughts, if it is simpler to just add a new drive and redo the settings... perfectly fine with me ! I don't have that much there anyhow, and wouldn't give a hoot if i lost it anyway.
easier is better for me........... any thoughts or help here ?
thanks,
Rob
P.s. Of course I would like to see a response here in the forum so anyone else needing this info can get it as well. However if you have any questions, you can also e-mail me directly to : rob AT-no-spam-AT szkutak D0T com.
