I have always restored images that have .bak extensions, Stan was nice enough to supply me with an image with a .mfs extension. Do I need to rename the extension to .bak?
Thanks for any help!

Shouldn't you ask him?
You can name it whatever you like. Doesn't matter.

Ive been trying to upgrade my 40 GB svr 2000 to a 160 GB using a tivo.bak image that bcopied fine- When I issue the
mfsrestore -s 127 -r 4 -zxpi /mnt/tivo.bak /dev/hdd command it freezes after a minute and gives me a swap free/ bad swap file segmental fault line. If i change the extension will this help. Thanks
