Hey, this is probably a simple and easy thing, but I've yet to figure this all out....
Is there a way to delete shows via the Desktop software or maybe thru a browser? I've heard some people say they can connect to their TiVo boxes via a browser, but I've yet to be able to do this (from IE).
Just once I move stuff from a TiVo to my PC, I'd like to be able to delete it from that TiVo and free up space.
thanks,
Chris

I don't think it is possible to delete stuff.
To access your tivo just type this in browser:
https://192.168.1.25/nowplaying/index.html
Replace the above IP address with your Tivo's IP. Don't forget the "s" in https!
username: tivo
password: your MAK, ie Media Access Key + four digit parental password if you have one

Thanks man for the quick reply and info.
Bummer there's not a way to delete stuff, maybe in a future release.

Which model Tivo are you asking about?
Edit: Now that I think about it, there is a way to make this happen. If you use a program like TVHarmony Autopilot to automatically download your recordings each day, you can set the Keep Program Until on the Tivo to 1 day, 2 day, etc.
This is not foolproof since a show could disappear off the Tivo without getting transferred to your PC if there is a network problem.

Where might I find the IP address for my TiVo DVR? Also, is it possible to get this information remotely (I'm currently at work but I have high speed internet access if that matters) via the internet? Thanks in advance.

It is on the TiVo's network screen, and likely your router's DHCP manifest.

If your TiVo is hacked, you can do it with TivoWeb
