Jump into Sopranos now or catch up? (spoilers for entire series including last night)

I have seen the first two seasons and the first ep of Season 3.


I know Adriana gets whacked. I know Tony's mom is dead, and I know what appeared to happen last night.


Is there anything else I don't know that requires me to catch up before just jumping into the new season? (Don't tell me what it is, just let me know if something really damn important has happened. :) )

I think there's a lot of stuff in Season 5 that might affect things going forward.

Like most shows, I'm sure you could jump in and catch up to the plot very quickly. Naturally you'll be missing quite a bit of good TV, but I doubt you'd be lost.

FWIW, many people found S4 to be somewhat forgettable.

i'd make sure to watch season 5, just jam it all in this week before next Sunday :)

I always watch stuff like this in order. I would just watch them all on DVD"s and then by the time you catch up, this will either be on DVD, or just Tivo and save them all. Then you won't have to wait a week for a new episode :)

I did that for The Shield last year, and finally caught up for this year.
