The hockey player kid is familiar and I can't place him and the full cast isn't listed online anyplace I've found yet. It's gonna kill me trying to remember where I saw him last.

I don't see George as the type to hold out long against Meredith. And it was amusing to see McDreamy admit he did use the elevator intentionally to have Meredith as a captive audience.

Preston and George do seem to have an instant rapport going. Christine seems a bit jealous of that.

I liked this episode a lot. I just hope a new woman in his life will get rid of bitter george before it becomes permenant. I hope yang has to babysit again because it was pretty comical at times. I like burke and george becoming buddies because it is driving yang crazy and it also get more screen time for both of them. I still hate that scum alex with a passion and hope him and merideth get killed off at the same time.

The hockey player kid plays Duncan Kane from Veronica Mars.

If Teddy Dunn was in the credits, Lakertime nails it.

McDreamy's wife does look a bit like Catherine Deneuve.

Burke did choose O'Malley as "his guy" at the beginning of the show. At first, we just thought it was for surgeries and to pick on but maybe Burke see's a lot of himself in George.

I was suprised Bailey was back at work. I know she's driven and I know she won't take no for an answer, but presumably it's only been a week since she left the hospital (I guess since heart guy is still there). That's some short maternity leave.

I liked how Sheppard is beginning to realize he needs to commit more to his wife. I wasn't suprised that Addison started to look for whatever she was missing in other places.

George's face when the kid told him he had cut off his finger was priceless.

And as an added bonus this week, Meredith was the least annoying she's been in weeks. Which isn't saying much, but still...

Probably because she had very little screen time.

On another note, did you see Bailey's expression when Yang said that she doesn't babysit? I am waiting for Bailey to explode and either not work for a while or leave the kid at home with a babysitter.

George does make a better girlfriend than Yang does...

I thought that it was out of character for Yang to accept the baby in the first place.
She generally tries to avoid things she's not comfortable with and I think that given the choice between standing up to Bailey or accepting the baby, she'd go with standing up.

Bailey is completely unreasonable in bringing her newborn to work, foisting it on a co-worker. If she wants to be a mother, stay home, or hire a babysitter.

I don't think she did have much of a choice from what I saw.Of course she had a choice. She could have simply refused.

Of course, this is an issue in so many TV shows (particularly sitcoms)---people are "forced" into doing something they don't want to do and hilarity ensues. Of course, all they needed to do was to say "no". Yang just needs to grow a pair...

It's strange how hard it can be to recognize somebody when you know him well, but only in one very specific context. That happens to me when I see store clerks on the street, even when I know them by name.

It was driving my wife nuts who the hockey player guy was too. I've gotta say, I'm pretty disappointed in imdb these days. Used to be you could count on them to be up to date on that sort of thing, but lately it seems like every time I go looking for a recent episode's cast for some show, it's just not there.

Yeah, I thought so too. She's actually starting to seem like someone who might be worthy of George's friendship.

Poor Teddy Dunn ... he gets a guest shot on another show after getting dumped from VM and he's still a donut.

I thought it was hilarious that the guy compared Addison to Catherine Deneuve, since Kate Walsh's Wikipedia profile has mentioned the same comparison for quite some time. It also looks like someone updated the profile after last night's show to account further for the comparison. I can't post links, but go to Wikipedia and look up Kate Walsh, it's on there.

The husband who was flirting with Addison was Stephen Lee, who played Tony B. on Nash Bridges.

Wonder how many other NB alums will show up on Grey's Anatomy? :D

Heh. I wouldn't mind seeing Jodi Lynn O'Keefe, Kelly Hu, Yasmine Bleeth, or Mary Mara again. :)

I think Annette O'Toole is busy with Smallville.

Now we need a dramatic episode where the baby comes down with C.diff or MRSA or just anything from the rampant germs running around a hospital that a mother should be reported to DFACS for dragging her newborn through.

You just had to spoiler VM in this thread, didn't you. I've only watched a couple of episodes so far this year, so I hadn't gotten to that point. :P (Although I have to admit, I did find it a bit suspicious that he was showing up on an ABC show).

Apparently the Super Bowl episode pushed Gray's Anatomy's ratings up permanently to the 22.5 million viewer level.

I didnt start watching until after viewing the Super Bowl ads and now I'm hooked!

Someone else who's heard of MRSA (http://www.tivocommunity.com/tivo-vb/showthread.php?t=285186)

I hated that they showed Bailey bringing her newborn to work like that and then handing it off to an intern. That would never happen. YEs, I know, it's TV, but I couldn't stand it.

Oooh, and way to go hot, full bodied, latina chick!

I know this sounds odd, but does anyone else get the feeling that the new doctor that George likes might have been a guy once?? Just the way she talked during the surgery to reattach the finger, I don't remember the exact words but something to the effect of she respected him for cutting it off, you can't wait for the pain to stop so you cut it off, the problem and the pain. Just something about the way she spoke and the look in her eyes. Probably not, but it's just the reaction that I had.

Great episode once again.

I love that George makes a better girlfriend than Christine. How many parents (or aunts or uncles like me) knew that was a "hungry cry" when Christine had the baby cry over the PA?

Meredith wasn't too annoying.

I know I'm going to be in the minority here, but on some of the close-ups on the new doctor's face, her eyes looked like Izzy's. I'm not talking color... more like shape. Maybe it's the way they have their eyebrows done. I really like her character a lot and I hope she gets to stick around for a while.

I thought she was referring to his problem/relationship with Meredith.

I know exactly what you mean - noticed it the first scene the new doc was in.
