Added Windows installer
Pressing Thumbs Down when viewing a camera image removes it from the saved list (useful for quickly removing bad cameras from your list without having to go back and fish around for it in the Setup screen)
Changed default region to Colorado Springs, CO (problems with Portland)

Not many new features, I know, but I wanted to learn how to create the installer and I thought it made a release worthwhile.

If you have an older version (1.40 or earlier) installed, I would recommend uninstalling it first following these instructions (http://bitrazor.com/tc/doc/index.php#uninstall), unless you really want to keep your saved camera lists. The installer will attempt to detect the older version and update over top properly, so the manual uninstall is not strictly required. Keep in mind that this is my first installer, though. :)

Fixed installer bug: add/remove Windows Firewall exception (affects Windows users only)

This fixes the problem for new users where the app appears in the list, but hangs at 'Please Wait...' The script that adds the exception for the service to Windows Firewall was not being properly executed by the installer.

Nice job on 1.50(a)... I finally got a chance to take a look.

One issue I had that you may or may not know about: I used the installer to upgrade from 1.40, but it left jars/trafficcam-1.40.jar in place. When the service started, it seems Java decided to use trafficcam-1.40.jar instead of trafficcam-1.50.jar (I have no idea how it chooses, or if it's just random, or what). The only reason I noticed was that the new Thumbs Down feature didn't work.

After manually removing jars/trafficcam-1.40.jar, all is well.

OK, thanks -- I'll take a look at the installer. I think I'm also going to move away from version-naming that jar in the future, (just makes my deployment process a little harder for really no good reason).

Hey this is neat.
Thanks

but now I see why the traffic is so bad...the cameras are in the wrong places.
Nothing on the Garden State Parkway? or Rt 3?

oh well

If you have a source of cameras on the web, I can generally get them added to the list without too much trouble. Just send me a link if you find some on the web that you'd like to access from TiVo.
