I'm trying to replace a small WD drive with a 300GB Seagate on a series 1 philips. It works properly with the WD drive.
I loaded the Seagate using the correct Instant Cake which has lba48, as a single drive config. I've poked around in hda7 where its root is, and all looks ok.
When I try and boot it on the Tivo, I never get past the iniitial please wait screen. I can tell by feel not much is going on, on the disk. I've tried both the original ide cable from the tivo, and the one that came with the Seagate with no difference. I've tried jumpers both at master and cable select with no difference.
I read some older stuff about ideturbo, so I added runideturbo=false to the bootpage. Still no difference.
Any suggestions?
