Tivo with no hard drive

Hi All,

There is a guy on eBay who is selling Series 1 Tivo's with no hard drives. Is it possible to get one of these working after putting in a new hard drive? :confused: If it is possible, how would I get the software to load on the hard drive if I bought one?

Check the sponsors at the top of the forum. They sell hard drives with the appropriate image installed.

those are the ones going for $60 with free shipping...i'm not sure it's worth that.
after you buy a decent hard drive, it will be around $100+
(i don't like how that seller does not list exactly what model you are going to get, you can get an hdr 112, 212, 312 or a ptv looks like)
i'm selling my series 1 hdr212 with a 160 gig drive for hopefully $100. it can record without a subscription, so i'm waiting till lifetime subs are no longer an option on the 15th to list it.
