Google Maps ap not displaying maps

When I run Google Maps or maps plus, I don't see any maps, just the location and a blank screen.

Does this ap no longer work or do I have some sort of network problem?

Does this ap no longer work or do I have some sort of network problem?Google has changed the maps API several times. I do not believe that anyone is currently maintaining the TiVo Google Maps or Maps Plus apps, and therefore the api change(s) must have broken them. It may(should) be possible to update them. The original source code is available via Arthur Van Hoff's (http://artfahrt.com/products.html) website.

Someone with knowledge of the Maps API and Java would need to update the source code and compile an executable jar. It may also be necessary to update the source to use the most recent HME SDK. TiVo also made some changes to the SDK that aren't backwards-compatible with older versions.

not to hijack this thread but how would you access google maps or google for that matter on the tivo? I'm new.
