ok i just bought a new Samsung HLR5667W 56" DLP HDTV. the features state that it has a Digital Cable ReadyTuner. does this mean that i don't need the "digital cable box" from Comcast (but still pay for digital cable obviously)??
if i still need the Comcast digital cable box - then what is the importance of this feature? thanks!!!!

It means your TV can use a cablecard from the Cable company instead of a cable box. I don't know how Comcast's cards work, but Cablevision's cablecard isn't so great.

Call and ask. Cablevision doesn't tell you about them unless you ask.

yeah, i just called and they do offer the card in Nashville, TN apparently. cool. ok, so if i have the card and am paying the $5 a month HDTV fee to comcast, i don't need anything else to receive all of the available HD content, right?
