I had some problems recording the TV show 24 on FoxHD last night with my DTV HD TIVO. The show was scheduled to record for 2 hours, but instead there was one recording of 67 minutes and a second recording for 2 minutes. Also on the first recording that was 67 minutes there seemed to be drop outs. In one instance a seen ended prematurlly without any notice able static or break in the picture and then went right into the middle of the next seen.

During the two hour window when 24 was on I did successfully record two other TV shows on the other tuner. Also, my son TIVO'ed 24 on another TV in my house using a Direct TV non-HD Tivo -- this came out fine.

Any ideas what caused this? Is it my unit or the broadcast?

Thanks, Stu Kohn

Presumably your HD recording was from an OTA broadcast and the SD recording was DTV local via satellite, right? If so, it may be your antenna or antenna cable, or, more likely, the local station as having broadcast porblems. Check your region in the Local Recption area of the HDTV area of AVSForum. Maybe someone has discussed a similatr problem there.

It recorded fine on my SD DTiVo as well - but the first hour was spoiled by a nearly continuous crawl about Kirby Puckett's death. Truly annoying.

I get FoxHD from DTV in my region, not from a separate antenna.
