I just installed a new hard drive on my PC to store my Tivo recordings. I've moved all of my Tivo movies to the new drive, and deleted the old folders. I pointed both Galleon and Tivo Desktop to the new folder. When I access my Now Playing list, I see my recording that are residing on the Tivo and two PC icons. It looks a little like this:

Stargate SG-1

deepthought (my C: drive name)
My Movies (I deleted this folder in My Documents)

When I access deepthought, I can see theTivo recordings that I have moved to my PC. When I access My Movies, I get a "No Tivo files found."

First question: How do I get rid of that My Movies link on the Tivo? My new drive name is Deep Thought3. I want to access this drive, which seems to be picked up for the most part (see question below).

Second question: I transcoded an .avi file of EuroTrip using the Galleon Tutorial to a mpg file. I followed the instructions precisely, but the Tivo is not seeing the file. The answer to my first question may answer this, but will someone explain to me why the Tivo is not picking up this file? On windows, The filename is EuroTrip, and the description is MPG} file.

It seems the file extension was incorrect. I am now able to view EuroTrip on my Tivo. I would still like help with my first question, though. I now seem to have three links to my PC on the Tivo screen in Now Playing:

DEEPTHOUGHT(Tim)
deepthought
My Movies

DEEPTHOUGHT(Tim) and My Movies do not display any files when I select them, so I'd like to remove both of them from the list.

I am going to try to help a little

It sounds like you are signed into windows as a single user.

Two of your PC icons are probably Galleon and one TD.

In TD you probably need to change the folder setting for your videos (File>Preferences)

In Galleon there must be a similar thing to get rid of one folder and set the other to the right location.

Running both TD and Galleon, I would imagine that at least 2 PC icons is normal.

Ghost entries can also hang around after making a name change to any shared folders of either of the programs. Rebooting the PC and TiVo should clear them up, they should also eventually disappear on their own.

Thank you guys. That does make a little more sense. Both Galleon and Tivo Desktop point to the same folder on my E: drive. That would easily explain the difference in lettering on the two deep thought links.

The "My Movies" link is the strangest as I don't have any folders on my PC called My Movies. I guess I'll try restarting my Tivo a few times to see if it goes away.

I had questions about the My Movies link also. I noticed that on my Tivo as well. At first I thought it was the share I have on my computer named the same thing and it was confusing me. Then I realized it was coming from Galleon. (Turning off the Galleon service makes it go away).

I think Galleon allows you to link to more than one folder (unlike TivoDesktop)? I assume if you want it to go away (but continue to run Galleon) you have to make that change inside Galleon itself.

Thank you, thank you. It seems Galleon linked to a nonexistent file in Go Back. Even though I had no "My Movies" folder on my PC, Galleon was displaying it on my Tivo. Now things are working wonderfully.

Is there a way to use one link on the Tivo for both Go Back and ToGo? The three links on my Tivo all point to the same place. Not a big deal, but I'm kinda anal about my menus. :)
