I had a wireless bridge setup using three Belkin 7230-4 routers. One of them was damaged when Belkin told me to flash the firmware. All three were version 2000. They sent me a replacement, which was great, but sent me a version 4002. When I could not configure it properly, they told me what I had suspected that verion 200 and 4002 are not compatible. I still need to figure out what Berlkin will and won't do for me, but in the meantime, I am running out of guide data. I have manually moved the TiVos to my main PC, one at a time, to a wired connection, but I am trying to avoid that again in the future. What I am looking for is ideas (and hopefully how-tos) so I can leave the TiVo's alone. I have a laptop that has been configured with the new router.

What I was hoping to do was:
- Configure the laptop, so I could share the wireless internet connection and plug the ethernet cable from the TiVo (using a USB200M) to the laptop, but I could not configure it correctly. Does anyone know the proper steps? I tried to share the internet connection of the laptop's ethernet connection, and there was no sharing step available in the wireless connection. Is this even possible?
- Use the new version 4002 router as the main router and add one of the version 2000 routers/access points via a wired connection to the first router and use the second access point to connect to the TiVo. I can see the second router on the network when it is wired, but I cannot create a bridge to the second access point.

Does anyone have any other ideas, will any of the ideas I mentioned work, or can clarify a step that I might have missed?

You probably need a cross-over cable to network the TiVo from the laptop. I don't know where you trigger or configure ICS for your WiFi connection but it should be possible...

Does the laptop have XP?
Were you able to set up a peer to peer connection between the laptop and one of the Tivo's?
Does the laptop still have wireless access to the internet?

If the above 3 questions are all YES, then go to Start, Connect To, Show All Connections. You should have a network connection that is wired Peer to Peer. You should also have a network connection that is called something like "Wireless Network Connection". Right click on the Wireless Network Configuration and select BRIDGE Connections. Select the wired peer to peer and it should connect the two networks together.

This should work.....I just helped someone else on these boards do this a week or two ago. Try this thread http://www.tivocommunity.com/tivo-vb/showthread.php?t=286474
