I have an HR 10-250 which, up until recently, had been practically flawless. It was one of the original batch of orders from VE .

The last 3 Sunday mornings it has rebooted between 10-11 A.M. central time. Today it did it for the 4th Sunday in a row. I'm beginning to wonder if it's the unit or something D* is sending out via the satellite that's causing the reboot.

After it reboots, everything seems fine till the next Sunday. Timers fire perfectly, etc, etc..

Anybody had a similar experience, or any ideas. I reluctant to do a "delete and clear" if I don't have to.

Any ideas/thoughts would be appreciated!

I had similar problems. Rebooting seemed to occur weekly, then accelerated slightly and more randomly. I finally ran clear & delete last night. That process took about 90 minutes. However, to my surprise, I had to call D* to activate the receiver again. Maybe that's normal, but I wasn't expecting it.

I spent another hour or so today reloading my season passes. I've got 21 done, and 4 more to do once the guide is updated. I'm glad I ran C & D. The difference in performance and speed is very obvious. I'm also glad I took the time to write down my season passes.

I assume this is just a temporary fix for what I suspect is a failing hard drive, but for now I'm happy.
