HDMI - no sound

Just bought a Sony KDF-e42a10. D* connected via HDMI. The sound does not work on HD channels but does no SD. I will use my surround system most of the time but I want to be able to get sound via my tv on HD channels. Any suggesgtions on a fix?

Go "settings", "audio" and de-select Dolby Digital.

tech just found problem. the HR10-250, when connected with HDMI and set up in Settings/Audio/Dolby digital, will not send an audio signal to the Tv for HD channels. It will send an DD audio signal thru my audio reciever. When I change the settings on the HR10-250 to standard audio I do get an audio signal via my HDTV for HD channels. As I use my reciever for my HD channels, I really don't have a problem

It IS sending the DD signal to your TV, but your TV has no DD decoder, so it can't do anything witrh it.
