I have Directv w Tivo.....what are the odds that Directv will offer me an upgrade to a dvr with MPEG4? I'm 185 to 190 range on the DMA

I think you have to currently own a DirecTV HD receiver to get an upgrade when they offer your locals in HD. What TiVo do you have now? It would help us if you offered a lot more information. :)

Update: My Tivo is Hughes DVR 40, my DMA is 187. What are the "odds" Directv offer me an upgrade to Mpeg 4 HD DVR? Should I buy/lease a Mpeg 4 HD DVR now or wait?
Where is the best "deal"? What are the "odds" my DMA will ever be up on the "bird"?

They don't even have an MPEG-4 DVR out yet. Also, it will likely be a LONG time until your DMA gets locals.
