I don't know if is an error, but I was just browsing on the guide, and I saw on Channel 237, the description says "Directv DVR With TIVO is here, and is supposed to be a promotion (the actual channel has no signal, but the description is that...)

Is that a fluke, or they finally realized that their new "Tivo-less" DVR sucks???

I always love when people claim something sucks before they have even seen it. :rolleyes:

Sorry.. but how in the world do you know that I have not seen the R15 (a Tivo-less DVR) and that I could not have an opinion about it?????

I've seen one, dont want one, actually, if I can get my locals OTA then I have no desire to get rid of my Directivo's :)

I know that I haven't seen an R15 but I do know that I don't want one.

Saying you know you don't want one is different than saying it sucks. I don't want one either. I'm all set for now too.

It's actually beside the point of my post which was simply to see if the OP had ever seen one. At this point I would be shocked if he had because if he did he would have said so in his previous post.

Have you? If so, why did you not give us a detailed reveiw before making a blanket statement?

In any case you did not say that it was your opinion that it sucks. You said

So which is it? Do you think it sucks or does everyone else think it sucks?

Look guys... I have seen one, I tried it, I did not like it and many people think the same, just do a search on the r-15 and you will see BUT, that WAS NOT THE POINT OF THE ORIGINAL POST!!!!!!!!!!! Can you PLEASE stick to the point!!!!

The point was to say that, that particular night D* showed on the guide a promotion for a Directv TiVo Dvr, and we all know D* is not poromoting TiVO units now... so it appeared odd to me to see that on the guide, and I was asking for opinions.... that was all....
