Tivo to Video iPOD

I heard the announcement in late 2005 that Tivo was going to offer the ability to transfer to video iPODS. And they said at that time that it was likely to be made available in the first quarter of 2006. We are about 4 weeks away from the end of Q1.

Has anyone seen any updates to their original announcement?

I am under the impression the updated TiVo software is currently being beta tested. Those in the beta test have most likely entered into some sort of non-disclosure agreement and can't say anything. Hopefully we'll hear something about its release soon!

In the meantime you may want to check out currently existing free alternatives such as TV Harmony.

I have used MyTVToGo as well and it works great. Easy to use and only costs $30.

Thanks everyone. I really appreciate the two alternatives. It does look like MyTvToGo has more features, and $30 is nothing for a program to be able to do all that we need.
