Hey all,

I'm looking for anyone who has had R10 problems. I'm trying to track down what's going on with it...it's a new unit, and once I recieved it, the unit "skips." Sometimes, the screen goes blank for a second or so. Sometimes the sound kicks off and the screen pixelates as it comes back. The frequency of this varies, but it is often every couple of minutes. I have noticed no difference using tuner 1 vs tuner 2. If I rewind after a skip, I get the skip in the same location I saw it in the first place. I have not yet seen a situation where the skip doesn't occur when I rewind and play it again.

So, I'm guessing this is the hard drive. Being a brand new unit (especially with the supply of R10s dwindling to zero), I'm temped to swap it out. Has anyone had experience with a problem like this? Any other possibilities besides the hard drive?

thanks!

If it is doing that already I'd go for the swap out/replacement while you can. I assume you have already unplugged the unit and let it sit for a minute and your signal strengths are fine. Assuming so, sure does sound like a flaky HD.

The HD is bad. This is a common problem with new R10s. Return for a new unit ASAP.

Well, I tossed a new HD in the machine (copied the image off of the bad drive), and I still have the problem :< Any other suggestions?

I have no idea what to tell you.
