A new OTA digital channel has started today, Thursday, for the Milwaukee market. It is channel 4.2 from WTMJ. Basically, Weather Plus has arrived in Milwaukee and it gives updates on local and national weather including live local radar, radar time-lapses, and extended forecasts. You may need to do a re-scan on your HD receivers to get the channel. This channel has a lot more information than the current weather channels provided by PBS channels 10.5 to 10.7. Enjoy.

I'll have to take a look at that, but typically I use my own weather site here, (http://www.curtronics.com/Weather/index.html) which seems to be just as accurate. I also did my own time lapse radar because the ones usually provided by others were too short for my tastes and don't show storm trends and paths well enough because of that. I do like 10.6 through, usually if there's a storm in the area I want to see it's path and size and I like the NOAA audio info provided on that channel.

Total waste of bandwidth! I would rather NBC keep their bandwidth allocated for HD programming. I guess all I can do is telephone to compain each time their programming pixelates due to the weather plus channel comsuming their bytes....

Otherwise I could always stop watching NBC. Come to think of it, it seems like everyone else agrees considering how their ratings are sliding....

I agree totally, I'd rather see the bandwidth used for HD programming. Same thing with 10, I'd rather see just a 10.1 like 36 does and not 10.1 through 10.7, but as long as it's there I do tune in at times.

Ouch. Didn't anyone ever hear don't kill the messenger? Its a nice alternative rather than having to fire up my PC everytime just to check the weather if I'm watching TV, that's all. I will agree with the NBC thing though. When I found out Kimberly Kane was axed, that was the last straw for me after 25 years of watching that station.
