Hello, I hope someone can shed some light on this.
First I must confess I am a mac user, that said my problem is that my puter has been dragging real slow lately. I have an old emac G4 1.0Ghz with 512 ram.
Anyway, I opened up the ap, activity monitor and found that tivo desktop was using 17% of my cpu and . . . a lot of memory, sorry I don't recall how much. But I was NOT using tivo desktop at the time. What I mean is that my tivo/TV was inactive, and no one was streaming photos music ect.
No recently I got the upgrade with the yahoo stuff ect on my tivo. And to be fair, I cannot swear that tivo desk top has not always used a lot of cpu, but:
1) my machine only recently started dragging
2)I only recently got the service upgrade
Is one and one two?
It does not seem like the services added to the tivo should require or even use the tivo desktop. Could there be something else going on?
Also, when I discovered this resource hog, I turned it off right away. And lastly I am using osx 10.3.9 and my tivo desktop is the previous version, I think it is 1.9.1 (I am currently at a different computer)
Any help or comments would be appreciated.
