Hello,

Sorry if this topic has already been addressed, but I haven't found anything specific enough to help me. I just got the Tivo Wireless adapter so now I can use the TivoToGo fine. I transferred one of my stored Tivo Movies to my computer (took a while too!), it plays fine and now I want to burn it to a DVD. Here is where I get into trouble.

I have the MyDVD Digital Media v.7 that came with my computer. I went to the Video Create a Project, added the file, and then tried to burn the dvd. It of course crashed at the end, and reading all the posts on this discussion board I see that other people have this problem.

Next I got the DSD and converted it to a mpg file so I'm fine there. What I want to do is burn the file to a DVD that I can watch on a nonComputer dvd player. I read a post from someone who said that they used Windows Media Maker to change the file into one they can use on a standard Dvd player. I have the Windows Media Maker as well, but I'm very confused as to how to go about this. Does anybody have any suggestions that I can use? Or recommend other programs that can help me, besides the Nero and something not too expensive, seeing as how I'm a poor college student. (I had to get my dad to buy the Tivo box and stuff, and I don't think he's willing to pay for more programs for this Tivo)

Thanks. :)

How tech savy are you? If you're comfortable with commandline tools you can do it for free using dvdauthor (http://dvdauthor.sourceforge.net/).

If you're looking for something a little more user friendly then I really think nero is your best bet, as it seems to be the program which people have the most luck with here.
