bought a dvr on sat from d*. then ordered me another hd tivo from ebay same day.
was told dvr will be fed ex to me to arrive on friday. they set up install for wed. Said they can add the other line i need and when it arrives, i can just plug it in, no problem.
scheduled 8-12, they show up at 140. since i have 8 lines being used and no room on my multiswitch, the installer says another dish is the best way to go. thats fine with me, just get it done. would have preferred another or bigger multswitch, but o well.
I asked if i could pay him to add 1 more line for me but he wont. fine, ill just get my own rg6 and run it myself after dish is installed-i need 10 lines in- have 2 hd tivos, 2 reg tivos and 1 reg receiver, soon to be replaced with another dvr. right now, 1 dvr has only 1 line in on it.
He calls the office and they wont drop the line because he has to activate the dvr and its not here. D* told me i can do it when it arrives, besides, what do they think im going to do, not activate it and sell it? Been with them 10 years now and my 2nd hd tivo was due to arrive any hour now.
so i spend another hour on the phone with D* arguing with them about the install. they admit they should not have scheduled it if i didnt have it. Thats there fault. no mine.
So i have to reschedule it for tues now. i told them when the dvr arrives this friday, i am activating it and running it on one line until they install the second line. they say thats fine, they just have to have a dvr there add a second line to. thats bull, because the line i wanted them to add was to go to the other dvr i have that has only 1 line, and i was going to run the line myself for the new one when it got here after i got the new dish or multiswitch installed by them.
after all that, i wasted 6 hours of my day yesterday on my day off and have to sit around her on tuesday now again for another 4 hour window.
all i got for it was $5 off my bill for 9months and then after i get my 20 off that i am already getting done and over with, they will give me 6 months of showtime free. last time they gave me $100 credit, but not this time.
they are getting ruder and ruder down there.
