Well, I was flipping through the HD channels tonight, and I tuned to 75, 78, 79 and a couple of others. I was receiving the please call x721 for ordering information.

Now I know I have the HD package and YES, the bill is current and paid. I call the 800-531-5000 number. After getting disconnected 2 times, I finally reach the technical support. They now send me over to the HD tech support, where she verifies that I do indeed subscribe to HD packaged services.

After playing around and tested the satellite strengths all of my sats:

101 = 94%
119 = 91%
110 = 94%

She decided to do some playing around with the channels. After a while she wants me to swap sat 1 input and sat 2 input cables. So I do. I finally get a picture for about 30 seconds and it drops out. Appears channel 78 is on the 110 bird.

She "claims" its the HD10-250 having issues receiving from the 110 bird. I have reset the HD10-250 about 3 times (just rebooting through the menus). I get a quick picture again, and then nothing. I tried to get the 78 channel and now I get not available. She states she has seen it where certain sats just stop receiving signals correctly.

I have the PHASE III dish, and TERK MS58 switch and OTA locals via diplexer. All working ok until tonight as far as I can see.

So the CSR states, we'll send a "new" HR10-250 unit out for $14.95 with a new 2 year committment, today is 3/1 so leasing now in effect.

Question for all reading this post, my current HR10-250 has (2) 250GB drives (I upgraded it), can I move the (2) 250 GB drives to the new unit and swap the drives and have my current programming into the newly received HR10-250?

I cannot see why this would NOT work, anyone have any thoughts?

If there are any other ideas, please let me know.

Thanks..

try bypassing the multiswitch and hooking up from the sat to the box. I recently had a bad multiswitch, a terk, and i was not getting good signals on the 119 and 110. when i hooked up 2 lines directly from the sat to the box i was getting good signals on all 3 sats.

Well crap, the hard thing is that I cannot determine which two lines go there. I have 7 of 8 active tuners. I guess I can easily see which on has the diplexed signal, then I can do a possible process of elimination to see the second input.

I'll let you know my findings.
