Another HD waiver question

We now live in Henderson, NV and subscribe to SD locals from D*. We get excellent HD reception OTA.
We are building a house in Pahrump, NV which is in the Las Vegas/Henderson dma. We will be able to continue getting SD from D*, but because of an inconveniently placed mountain range, we won't get HD OTA.
Should we be able to get HD waivers for LA broadcasts?

It's entirely up to the discretion of your local stations. All D* can do is submit the waivers. Whether or not your local stations will grant the waivers is another matter.

Contacting your local stations directly in regards to the waivers in many cases is the only way to get them to grant the HD waivers. If it comes down to that, usually the person to speak with is the chief broadcast engineer of the station.
