I just got my HD tivo last night. I had previousy been using an H10 HD receiver and a RCA TIVO (SD). I actually have two questions . . .

1) I am quite use to tivo and how it looks and works. I know that this HD Tivo is sower than a normal Tivo, however, it seems like my screen is "bouncing/jumping/twiching" a litte when I go to Directv/Tivo central and also when I look at my now playing list. Is this normal? It wasnt like this on my old RCA tivo?

2) On the H10 i was able to select my favorite channels, and then when I would scroll through the channels and/or look at the channel guide, only those channels would come up. On the HD tivo, I see setting for favorite channels and channels I receive, but these settings seem to only affect the channel guide. Is there a way to set up the channels that will come up when I scroll (channel up/down)? Its annoying having to see "channel not available" for a load of channels that I cannot get.

Any info would be greatly appreciated

Thanks

1) Yes, I see what I would call a staggering scroll in of the menu information.

2) Have you forgotten that you need to select the Favorites menu for the Guide?

I set up the channels i want to show up in my favorites and in channels I receive. Save the settings and went back to live TV. When i use the channel up and channel down button, all channels are still showing up?

Have you changed your Guide from using "All" to using "You Receive" or "Favorites"?

Press Guide, the Info, then make the appropriate changes.

Im not sure - but wouldnt that just change what I am viewing in the guide? Or would that also change which channels show up when i use the channel up and down buttons to change the channel?

Try it.

The ch+/ch- buttons for the next/prev channel in the guide, even if the guide isn't visible.

YES - That worked - how complicated just to get favorite channels. Thanks for the help!
