Humax DVD Tivo Remote Control issue

Okay, so I have no idea where to post this. In TiVo issues or in DVD Tivo Units. I decided to try here. My Humax TiVo worked outstanding for 1 year, and now it's starting to act up a bit. My main issue, though, is with the remote control. It's just not responding great anymore. I'll push a button 5 times before the sensor on the TiVo blinks and reacts. Before you ask...YES, I've tried new batteries. I've replaced them quite a few times, and the same result. It really is driving me crazy. Fast Forwarding is a nightmare...and don't get me started on navigating through the TiVo menus or adjusting recordings!

I've read TiVo's troubleshooting for their own remotes on if you're having problems to reset the TiVo, and unplug it...etc.... Nothing is working.

So 2 questions.
1.) Anyone ever have this problem? Any recommendations?
2.) Is there anywhere I can purchase a new TiVo remote with the DVD buttons in it?

I am having the same problem and wanted to look for posts addressing it. I tried this one first (same logic as you - "DVD Tivo"s or Tivo Issues/Help?), so now I'm off to the Tivo Help thread.

You might try remove any other remotes, sometimes they cause interference ..I had a same problem so I put all my other remotes in a drawer and pointed them away from my Humax and have not had any other problems
