Tivo to Tivo File Sharing

I have two Tivo Series2 DVRs set up, and both work perfectly. Currently, to transfer files from one Tivo to another, I have to transfer a file to my computer, and then transfer the file to the other Tivo. I was wondering if anyone knows if it is possible to do a direct transfer of a file from one Tivo to another, and if so, how?. Thanks.

Make sure that the "Allow Transfers" box is checked on your account at TiVo.com.

In order to transfer from Tivo to Tivo go to your Now Playing List on the TiVo you want a show transfers to. At the end of the list, you should be able to see an icon for the other TiVo as well as your computer. Click the icon for the other TiVo and the Now Playing List for the other TiVo will appear. Simply select the show, then follow the prompts to transfer.

If you cannot see the other TiVo on your Now Playing List check all connections, restart your Tivo and make sure that both TiVo's are properly connected to a router.

Yes, this is called Mutil Room Viewing (MRV). You have to sign into TiVo.com and enable multi-room viewing for each box (it's a checkbox that you select). Then force a call with each box. The other box should appear at the bottom of each box's Now Playing List (box B will appear on the bottom of box A's NPL). You can navigate into the other box's NPL and transfer from there.
