TIVO will not stay connected to my network in spite of 70% signal level. Network is stable and adaptors have been swapped out with no change in symptoms. It has worked for over a year with no problem. I tried to transfer a movie from TIVO back to my desktop. It started to transfer and died after 30 seconds. I cant connect the TIVO to the network at all now. I have reset and restarted everything in the chain to no avail.

One time when I had this problem it turned out that I had unplugged my router and when I plugged it back in and the router rebooted, it gave out new IP addresses to my TiVo machines and my ZoneAlarm firewall was not configured to let devices with the new numbers through to the computer. I noted the new IP addresses under "Settings" on my TiVo machines and then I made sure the ZoneAlarm was configured to let the new IP addresses through.

I checked for that, it is not the problem. I have watched the tivo connect after a restart and stay connected for 30-45 seconds and drop out. My wireless laptop is in the same room and confirmed the network was still running with 70% signal level.

I just realized I am updating a 4 year old post. I posted a new problem earlier today, or at least I thought I did. Different problem altogether. I cant keep a connection up but the network, adaptors, etc, are functioning OK. It has worked flawlessy for over a year. The problem started when I tried to upload a file from my TIVO to my desktop. It worked for about 30 seconds and then it disconnected from my network and has not worked since.
