I have been rewatching all of Farscape (still haven't seen The Peacekeeper Wars yet!). The other night, I was watching The Locket. At the end, an aged Crichton says "I'm getting too old for this *****." It was pretty clear.
Now, was that how it aired, or was that just for the DVD?

Dunno, but there's a moment during Peacekeeper Wars involving a swear word that's even more amusing. I won't say more so as not to spoil it.

Isn't that show from Australia or New Zealand or something? They probably have different broadcast standards.

It was shot there, but for airing here. So it should have adhered to US broadcast standards. But since it was shown on cable, they were allowed to swear. I just didn't know that Sci-Fi had ever done that, like FX does nowadays.

The commercially available videos/dvds have several minutes more content that was edited out when Sci-Fi ran it (to make room for more commercials). Maybe that was originally the case with that part.

Gotcha. Thanks, Sparky!

I don't consider ***** to be a swear word. Crude, yes, but not a real swear word. :)

Was that phrase an homage to both Danny Glover in Lethal Weapon & then Mel Gibson in Lethal Weapon 4?

I think it was more of a wink. Maybe a nod. But not an homage.

Pretty sure I remember that incident, and people at the FARSCAPE forum at the SciFiChannel's website insisting they'd heard it when it originally aired. (Like it slipped by somehow.)
Other people insisted it'd been blipped/cut, but they "read his lips", or that it was actually some other word and everyone was "misunderstanding".
Hearing you're picking it up from the DVD makes that original airing all the more interesting.

I can pop the DVD back in, but I'm pretty sure he is in the midst of standing up/turning away from the camera - so you can't see his lips to read them.

I don't watch Farscape, but I am just now getting into The West Wing. I am watching Season 2 and a couple episodes ago Bartlett called Leo a pussy...I was suprised at that!

That was not the only time. In PK Tech Girl he has to hold apart two components to a shield generator, they are magnetically attracted and cannot be allowed to touch each other.
Bad guy alien walks in and of course Chriton has his hands full and lets slip a ***** then too.

I'm a huge Farscape fan.

That episode was great.
I'm surprised it made the edits in farscape, but it's not a huge deal these days. The Shield has it about 400 times per episode.
