I've only had my Humax DVD-RW TiVo for a couple weeks now and have only burned 2 DVDs, but so far they both seem to play fine on my PowerBook

Piece of advice: There's two competing "standards" on burnable DVDs... the -R and the +R the -R standard tends to be more compatible with devices (computers or dvd players) than the +R...

And, don't go for the cheapo noname DVDs... Verbatim, TDK, Memorex - those are good.

I have a Toshiba RS-TX20 and the DVDs work fine on my iBook and iMac. So go for it!

P.S. I've also had great results from no-name, cheapo DVD-Rs.

i guess its one of those "your mileage may vary" things... (c: Some burners, and some readers, can be picky and may not work with one particular brand - but then they work fine with another.

You can always get a small pack of one brand and try 'em and see what happens. If they work, buy a big pack. If they don't, go for someone else (c:

I think if you by the iTunes branded recordable DVDs you will be fine...

JUST KIDDING!
