Well I have three backed up episodes now and am in no hurry to watch them - just saw an add for some book Hurly was reading on the domed filight that they are now publishing - gotta say this would have been much better as a one season 24 story arc with the begining and end (and of course) some sort of cliffhanger, off to other shows for me- not that my choices are any good ;-)

to each his/her own. LOST owns all. It does help to watch the show for what it is though. If you spend all episode looking for secret messages you miss a lot of the character driven stuff. peace out.

I like studying the social interaction among posters trying to nitpick that a certain blade of grass facing a certain way means something and the ensuing tussle. It's as good as the show itself. 2x the entertainment for free except TC doesn't have FF to get past the junk.

i honestly wouldn't mind it if viewers for lost declined... it will give ABC and JJ Abrams the msg that they can't and shouldn't keep this up for too long. we want answers or we'll bail. i'm not at that point where i'm going to give up just yet... but i don't know how i'll feel in a year or two. naturally ABC wants this show around as long as possible... but hopefully they'll see that this is the type of show that cannot go for more than four or five seasons. at least not without driving more than half the audience crazy by not telling us what's up with that damn island.

joits if they do that, the show is over. If we knew all the secrets, who would watch?

I don't need to know all the secrets, but it is VERY annoying having to watch weeks worth of last season's shows.

Lost would be better served by going uninterrupted as 24 has done...

LOST is the new X-Files. The truth is out there.

lol, true.

it also seems that people who dont get a "secret" every week always say they will stop watching. I bet they watch it live :) , as for me i wait until friday morning to watch and then read posts until the next one airs.

I really like Lost but there's no way I'm going to watch each episode three times and visit six websites trying to figure out who the Dharma Initiative's assistant comptroller was. If I want homework, I'd go back to school.

It really amazes me how much of this show is actually "lost" to people who simply just "watch" the show. I truly believe to really understand this show you have to read the forums or you just miss so much of it. Apparently a lot of the side connections are missed without HDTV (like Sayid appearing in Kate's flashback, the drug plane crashing in Charlie's dream). So many times I talk to people who watch about certain things that are going on in the show and they truly don't know what I'm talking about.

And the drug plane crashing in Charlie's dream has helped you to understand what? Most of the minor stuff that is discussed to death is merely trivia and stuff to keep people talking. None of it matters to the overall story or enjoyment of the show. Want to watch the show 3 times back to back? More power to you. Much like those that stand in line for movies like Star Wars, some people are consumed by their passions. My time's more valuable than that.

my advice: wait for the dvds

i did that with 24 and it's so much nicer. just watch it whenever you want.

It's not that seeing the plane has helped understand anything, but certain things are missed ... such as Sayid appearing in Kate's flashback. It adds to the connections that all of the characters have with each other, and I don't really think that there connections are "minor" to the story.
