Remember all the talk after CES that DTV would be rolling out internet access (wait two months was Rupert's comment)? Lots of talk that it would be Wi-Max and such...
Just got an email from DTV indicating "Go DSL - Let DirecTV Help." It is just more of these here are a few providers (Verizon, Earthlink, etc.) go ahead and pick one.
All the hype about this?? Please tell me that they have bigger plans than this...

ive heard hype about possible broadband in the future. i mean, dtv also is partnered with direcway, which is similar to cable hsi. i dunno what ole chase has got up his sleeve, but lets hope it's a fast ball and not a knuckle ball if ya know what i mean.

Fortunately or unfortunately (probably the former) DirecTV sold directway some time ago. Given the all of the press Murdock got for his "big plan" I certainly hope he an Chase do have something up their sleeve.
On the other hand, $14.95 per month for Verizon DSL now is making this moot for the next 12 months, for me at least. If they can match that price with more speed, serve it up.
