Maria Conchita Alonso is looking damn good at 49. :D

I for one was glad that the Betty Applewhite storyline didn't rear its idiotic head during this episode. Unfortunately none of the other storylines benefitted though. No real drama movement in this show anymore, but it still makes for a passable comedy. Lots of hilarious moments this week.

I'm liking the storyline with Bree, I mean it is not the most captivating story, but at least it deals with an issue that is "real", and not so much about her being a b#%@h to her kids. She is uptight and high minded, so it will be interesting to see what sort of fall it takes for her to admit there is a problem.

The only thing I didnt like about the Bree storyline was that it seemed to come out of nowhere. Lynette lining the bottles up on the porch seemed to be the writers telling *us* that there's a real problem, and not just Bree. Maybe it's better that way than dragging it out over half a season.

Enjoyed Gabby and Carlos the most tonight. Nice to see they're human after all.

Best line of the night: "I'm going to pull the car away. Watch your boobs."

I didn't recognize her. I'm surprised to find out her age too - I thought she looked older than 49. She looked absurd trying to pick up on Carlos.

I do find the Bree storyline interesting. I loved her son's line (paraphrasing)- so you'd rather give up a cure for allergies than drinking? :D

We'll see if Lynette's going through the garbage and pulling out the wine bottles will have any effect.

I also liked the way Carlos was sensitive towards Gabrielle after he found out what kind of mother she had.

I liked this episode a lot it was easy to see bree's drinking problem for a while but it great they are addressing it in a fast manner. I like the dymanic of gabby her mother and carlos. I just wish the show could get back to were it was last season were it was great.

Do you think she was seriously trying to pick him up? I guess she was, but my first impression was that she was just being flirty, and that that was just her personality. The zipping up the dress thing is so 60s though, I don't think it would work on most guys no matter what their age! (And her we are talking like her character is a real person. I hate it when I do that. :))

And I still think she looks pretty hot for her age. Must be the cleavage. :D

I couldn't figure out whose story about why Gaby left home he really believed. Was the mom deluding herself?

It didn't seem out of nowhere to me, have you been watching battlestar glactica? now they had stuff coming out of nowhere!

They've been foreshadowing this plotline for a long time....they always show her with a glass of wine, for like the last 2 seasons.

People were commenting in last week's thread about Susan and her insurance fraud. I was glad that they had planned on including it in the story. I don't think their daughter should have been involved at all, though. Yet another example of how bad they are at parenting.

Yes, and they've been increasing it in intensity for the past 5 or 6 episodes. Anyone that thinks this came out of nowhere just hasn't been paying attention.

I always find it curious that people like Bree, and I have a few friends that way too, that only drink high class (Harvey Wallbangers, Martini, Manhattan, etc...) mixed drinks and expensive wine don't think they have a problem but when people drink beer or do shots they have the drinking problems. That always bothers me.

Second best: the one about "I could shoot three babies out my ass..." I actually laughed out loud.
