How do you tell the tivo to NEVER record tv guide spot? It recorded it, and it was horrible.. I think I watched one episode, and skimmed another, and it was pure junk.

You can't op out of the promos and showcases, you just ignore them.

I haven't gotten one since ~November. No idea why. I sort of miss it. I haven't received any promotional videos for a long time. Full basic cable, broadband. I do get Rocketboom.

You figure out when these things are recorded and schedule something else to record at that time.

I never ever get this stuff anymore. What channel does this stuff come on now? I know it use to be Discovery, is it still?

That's just the thing -- I DO have things scheduled to record at the times I've seen it recording the tv guide spot promo programs. I just don't know the logic it uses to determine whether to record it or not vs. recording something else. (I record several night time shows.) I've seen it start to record at 12:31am so I don't know why it's recording that and not something else.
