I'm going to call the "special" number that came on the card from DTV later, but wanted to run by the group what I intented. I've been with DTV since 1998, want to buy my 3rd DVR before the end of February. I don't need installation since all I have to do is run the 2nd line and I have an open spot on my multiswitch. The online signup says you can get a R15 for $148 and then the rebate of $100 and includes installation. What I want to do is tell them to just charge my account $48 and send me the DVR and I'll hook it up. Has anyone tried this approach and if so, did they go for it?
