DVD Player w/ TiVo-like Remote?

I'm not sure where to put this thread, but does anyone know of a DVD player (for a TV, not a computer) that has a TiVo-like remote control? Right now, I've got a Sony DVD player and I absolutely detest its remote. It's darn near impossible to fast forward or reverse and when I do, the lack of overshoot correction is just plain irritating. If there's no DVD player that comes with such a remote, is there a universal remote that's similar (especially the ability to program in overshoot correction)?

The overshoot is part of the TiVo software, not the remote. If you want a DVD player that acts like a TiVo you should consider getting one of the TiVos with the built in DVD-RW drives. They do DVD playback using the same interface you're use to when watching TiVo recorded programs. (i.e. overshoot correction, skip to tick, instant replay, etc...) It's very handy.
