I feel spoiled. News on KABC in LA is now in HD. Very kewl. Now they just need to replace Marc Brown.

WXIA, NBC affiliate here in Atlanta started broadcasting their local news in HD a couple of weeks ago. Looks good, and was a compelling reason for us to watch their's rather than the competitors (who are not HD, yet). WXIA apparently is doing some field work in HD, and also some 16 x 9 SD camera work. All-in-all, looks pretty good.

Same here, debuted on Super Bowl Sunday. Same deal with the On-Scene SD 16x9 cameras. Much better than any of my other local news. Their newscopter actually had a HD camera on it, they've had that for about 10 months.
kewl beans.

KOMO-TV, the ABC station here in Seattle, has broadcast their local news in HiDef for quite a while. It's usually awesome!

Watch what the anchors wear. When WRAL started doing news they put them in the most brightly colored and intricately detailed ties. It was funny to watch. Plus you can sometimes see what the peopel in the background are doing (often nothing).

I wish our local news would be in Hd.
