No saved programs. It says "DVR service is not active." Somewhat "dissapointed" as I had put a bunch of HBO reruns on there...not missing much of anything.

this added security feature is definitely a selling point for the new inhouse dvr products! :down:

All the more reason to zipper my 250GB drives in my DVR40's and use the R15's as boat anchors

Plesae forgive me, I am a newbie - however I am returning the R15 and while waiting for the RMA box I am able to watch all my saved programs, it stinks that i have reset the device and exit the setup each time, but if I just leave it on all my shows are there....

however I CAN NOT get around the setup screen on my HDVR2 Tivo box - and there are shows on that HD I need...how do you just watch shows w/out connection?

I did check it again (5th time now) and that "other DVR" (at least this one) will not even display the "my VOD" let alone let me watch a recorded show: "Call DirecTV to activate your DVR Service"

As far as the TiVo's, just thit the DirecTV/TiVo button on top of the remote or the List button.

Thanks for the help, but it forces me to walk throught the basic setup (lnb type, cable in sat 1 or 2, etc...) then it tries all three sats an says it could not find signal - all three choices they give leave me either back where I was or with it trying to download data from SAT, at which point I can not get out of that screen no matter what I push.
