I added a 300gig to my hr10-250 about 5 months ago. The unit is bad and a new one arrived today.
To keep my recordings, should I go with Hinsdale's "Upgrade Configuration #4" and use the original "A" from the old and the new "A" from the new box?
Is there a code on the original HD that comes with the box that matches up to the box? Meaning if I go from "A" to "A", the new new 250gig will have the original ID from the 5 month old unit.
Just not sure.
