Hello Directv Community:
I have a Samsung SIR-S4080R("blow-out special") that works exceptionally well. The only problem is my S-P-S codes(30 & 9) reset every day-I assume after the nightly download. Does anybody have a fix for this or know why this happens?
Thanks!

Your box is probably rebooting overnight. Give it a day or two to settle down.

Hey!! I forgot about this!
So, the S-P-S-9-S thing works on DirecTiVos? That's for the clock, right?
I used to use this on my old SA unit, but I forgot about it when I switched to D*.

Don't forget about S-P-S-3-0-S (30 second skip). It also works on the DTivos.

But, not on series 1 DirecTV DVRs.
There is also the Select-Play-Select-Pause-Select one that causes the green status bar to disappear quickly.

I never knew about that one - just added it, and really like it.

With most (all?) of the S-P-S codes, entering the code again will toggle the function between active and inactive.

If I recall correctly, some of them you have to go to a menu screen after toggling them off to refresh the display. There is a consolidated list around here somewhere...

After 2 weeks of activation, this Samsung unit is still rebooting every night after the download. This must mean the unit is on its last leg(circuit). Oh, well...

That didn't make the status display go away :(

You have to go to any menu screen in order for the clock to disappear. Entering the code the second time just stops it from updating.
